فيديو حصري ل ل ا ر ه ا ب ي محمود البرعصي المكنى أبو مصعب الفاروق والملقب ” حودة ” سنة 2012م في منطقة الاثرون 50 ك.م شرق مدينة البيضاء مع مجموعة من افراد انصار الشريعة بنغازي ودرنه في رحلة بحرية، وتظهر معهم اسلحتهم، محمود البرعصي بدأ رحلة ا ل ا ره اب بعد فبراير 2011م في سرايا راف الله السحاتي، ثم انضم إلى تنظيم انصار الشريعة في بنغازي بقيادة ال اره اب ي محمد الزهاوي ، وانشق عن انصار الشريعة بنغازي وبايع تنظيم الدولة وكانت البيعة أمام مديرية آمن بنغازي عند مهاجمتها واسقاطها سنة 2014م ويوجد فيديو للمجموعة التي بايعت، شارك في عمليات الاغتيال والذبح ( يوجد فيديو وهو يقوم بذبح سوداني ) .
بعد هزيمة التنظيمات ال إ ر ه اب ي ة في بنغازي سنة 2017م هرب الى الصحراء وقاد عمليات ا ر هاب ية على نقاط وبوابات ومراكز شرطة بينها هجوم على مركز شرطة القنان، طاردته قوات الجيش الليبي وهرب إلى ضواحي سبها وأسس جيش الصحراء وأعاد البيعة لتنظيم الدولة داعش وهناك اصدار مرئي يوثق ذلك ، سنة 2019م أعلنت الافريكوم عن استهدافه الا انه اصيب ونقل للعلاج وينشط الان في صحراء مالي .

Their weapons are visible. Mahmoud al-Barghathi began his journey into terrorism after February 2011 in the Rafallah al-Sahati Brigades, then joined Ansar al-Sharia in Benghazi under the leadership of the terrorist Muhammad al-Zahawi. He later defected from Ansar al-Sharia Benghazi and pledged allegiance to the Islamic State. The pledge took place in front of the Benghazi Security Directorate when it was attacked and captured in 2014. A video exists of the group that pledged allegiance. He participated in assassinations and beheadings (there is a video of him beheading a Sudanese man).
After the defeat of terrorist groups in Benghazi in 2017, he fled to the desert and led terrorist operations against checkpoints, gates, and police stations, including an attack on the Al-Qanan police station. Pursued by the Libyan army, he escaped to the outskirts of Sabha, where he founded the Desert Army and renewed his allegiance to ISIS. A video documenting this is available. In 2019, AFRICOM announced it had targeted him, but he was wounded and taken for treatment. He is currently active in the Malian desert.
He is a resident of the Al-Sabri district in Benghazi.
